I usually do not shout out my recipes as "best ever!!" or "perfect!!" because I'm quite a shy person and that seems loud, but I am absolutely smitten with this classic humus recipe. This dip will last for about 4 days in the fridge and it really does get extra delicious after all the flavors have melded together. But I can tell you from first hand experience, that there is rarely any leftovers because it gets devoured right up.

I have taste tested so many humus before. Some would become runny, some times it was too garlicy but this one is full proof, if you follow exactly how I have mentioned below I am more than hundred percent sure it will turn out to be the ultimate humus you have ever eaten.
A big plus about making this dip in bulk is that you would opt for having humus combined with other veggies for snacks rather than eating guiltsome ready to eat fried snacks when hunger strikes. I am so peppy to share with you one such snack Idea 👇🏻along with the recipe.

Get electrified folks , because you are totally gonna love this dip!!
Now without further a do let's get right into the recipe.
Best Humus ever!

Total Time: 10 min

1 cup= 250 ml
Ingredients
1 cup chickpeas
3 cups water
2 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic
Salt as per taste
1/4 cup water
1/2 Lemon juice
1 tsp cumin powder
for presentation
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper or red chili powder
1 tsp olive oil
A quick video of this wholesome recipe👇
Directions
- Take one cup raw chickpeas, soak it for 8 hours or overnight and then boil it in a pressure cooker with 3 cups of water and some salt. Once cooked drain the remaining water and chickpeas are ready to be popped into our recipe.

- Add all the ingredients in a food processor or a high speed blender and blend it for about 3-5 minutes until everything is well combined.

- If you feel that the humus is to too thick, add some more water. I prefer humus to be fluffy and smooth so this recipe is for such thick and smooth humus, but you can make it as per your preference.

- Once you achieve your desired consistency add your favorite flavors in humus. I added cumin powder for this classic humus recipe.
Other flavor options are smoked bell peppers, avocado, cooked beet root, fresh dill or green onions.

- For presentation I sprinkled some cayenne pepper with olive oil.
- Relish it with cucumbers, carrots, bell peppers or your favorite crackers.

- Now for a quick snack, I have a very creative idea. Take two ice berg lettuce or any salad leaf of your choice, spread a dollop of humus, lay some carrots and red bell peppers with some salt and pepper. You can also add some slices of fresh avocado to make it more creamy dreamy. Finish it with a dash of hot Sriracha sauce, roll it and tadaaaaaaa! #ohsoyum.

This snack has everything, greens, protein, veggies, plus good carbs only and trust me the CRUNCH of carrots and bell peppers with that SMOOTH and appetizing humus totally gives that much needed blast of flavors to satiate your hunger.
